The Takamatsu International Piano Competition 2023 will take place in February 2023.

The Takamatsu International Piano Competition was held in 2006 for the first time and is held every four years as an international music competition led by local people. The purpose of the Competition is to discover and foster outstanding pianists from all over the world. In addition, the TIPC aims to provide local young people with an excellent opportunity to nurture their dreams and goals for self-development, to expand the scope of international exchange through opportunities to meet world-class musicians, and to contribute the development of music and culture in the local community.

The Takamatsu International Piano Competition 2023 will be divided into the Initial Selection, the Preliminaries (Rounds 1-3), and the Final. The Initial Selection Round will be judged using a video data or a DVD file (in DVD-video format) of applicants’ performances in October 2021. The Preliminary Rounds and the Final will be open to the public.

Eligibility: Individuals born between January 1, 1987 and January 1, 2007.

Application Period: April 1 – September 20, 2021.
