The next ICM Pinerolo e Torino Città Metropolitana 2025 will take place in Pinerolo and Turin from 3 to 9 March 2025. Participants in recent ICM Competitions have included young musicians from Italy, Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Korea, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Kazakstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Moldova, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Rumania, Russia, Serbia, Siria, Slovakia, Spain, the USA, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, the Ukraine, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela.
The “Pinerolo e Torino – Città Metropolitana” International” Chamber Music Competition was created in 1994 thanks to the passion and planning of Laura Richaud and Giorgio Bresso, respectively artistic director and honorary president of the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo.
From its inception, the Accademia has always supported highly talented young musicians, providing them with teachers of international renown to perfect their musical training and creating pre-professional and professional opportunities for them to perform in public. For 20 years the school has been operating in Pinerolo, holding annual music courses, master classes, workshops, summer schools, concert seasons, musical events and exhibitions. Since its founding, it has organized no less than a thousand concerts and has created an orchestra and a choir.
The ICM Pinerolo e Torino Città Metropolitana 2025 is open to the following ensembles, the average age of whose members must be no more than 33 on 1/3/2025:
The Jury for the 2024/25 competition consist of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Wen-Sinn Yang (Suisse), cello; Claus Christian Schuster (Austria), piano; Gerard Caussè (France), viola; Cristo Barrios Reyes (Spain), clarinet; Francesco Pennarola (Italy), piano, Director of Conservatorio in Turin. The ensembles will competing for prizes totalling 31,500 euros.
Entries to the Competition, which automatically imply acceptance of all points of the Regulations, must be fully and correctly completed and arrive at our email address segreteria@accademiadimusica.it no later than February 12, 2024. Within one month of the posting of the preselection results (November 18, 2024) the ensembles selected in 2024 must confirm their intention to take part in the live competition rounds in 2025.
