The purpose of the Takamatsu International Piano Competition 2026 is to discover and foster outstanding pianists from all over the world. In addition, the TIPC aims to provide local young people with an excellent opportunity to nurture their dreams and goals for self-development, to expand the scope of international exchange through opportunities to meet world-class musicians, and to contribute the development of music and culture in the local community.
The Takamatsu International Piano Competition was held in 2006 for the first time and is held every four years as an international music competition led by local people.
Eligibility:
Between ages 15 and 35 (Individuals born between January 1, 1991 and January 1, 2011.
Venue:
Main Hall, Sunport Hall Takamatsu
The Preliminary Selection will be conducted on the basis of the data and file submitted by the applicants and a video data recording(MP4, AVI, MOV or WMV) of the applicants performing the set pieces.
Accommodation will be provided to the contestants from three days prior to the start of the competition(February 7(Sat), 2026)to the dates below. The accommodation cost(including breakfast)will be borne by the TIPC Office only for the accommodation designated by the TIPC Office.
