Global Music Education League Violin Competition 2023

The Global Music Education League Violin Competition will be held in Beijing from November 3 to 13, 2023. It was launched jointly by the Global Music Education League (GMEL) and China Conservatory of Music (CCM).
Violinists must be between sixteen and thirty years of age on the opening date of the competition (November 2, 2023).
The jury will advance no more than twenty-four competitors to the Round I, twelve to the Round II, six to the Round III, and three to the Final.
The Final will be held with The Philadelphia Orchestra.
The GMEL Violin Competition will award the following prizes:
First Prize: US $100,000, a Gold Medal, and three years of concert tours
Second Prize: US $ 65,000 and a Silver Medal
Third Prize: US $ 30,000 and a Jade Medal
Three Finalists (Non-Medalists): US $ 5,000 each and a Diploma
About the Competition
The Global Music Education League Violin Competition (China International Music Competition), with the mission of “promoting the exchange of different music cultures and cultivating the world peace ambassadors of music,” was officially launched in 2019 by the Global Music Education League and China Conservatory of Music. The Competition brings together outstanding musicians from all over the world to form a jury, and collaborates with the world’s top orchestras and music institutions to build the highest level of exchange and exposure for generations of young musicians. The Competition is designed to be annual, with different disciplines featured in subsequent years.
