Through the awarding of the International German Piano Award (IGPA), an excellence prize for the promotion of young talents, the International Piano Forum Frankfurt annually supports exceptional talents who have achieved remarkable milestones in their artistic development and will enrich the musical diversity worldwide. This award stands out due to its substantial monetary endowment and additional career-advancing measures.
The participating artists are national and international pianists who have already taken initial steps in their careers and demonstrate the potential for a concert career both artistically and in their overall presentation. A high-caliber expert jury selects the nominees and ultimately the recipient of the IDPP in an independent, notarized process.
The 13th International German Piano Award 2024 will take place from November 22 to November 24:
The Laureate Jury is composed of conductors, intendants, and pianists hailing from the global music scene, alongside the prior year’s IGPA 2023 Laureate, Andrey Gugnin. Jury members are chosen and nominated by the IPF.
