SUMMARY:Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition 2023
DESCRIPTION:The 17th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition will take place from 14 March to 1 April 2023\, in Tel Aviv\, Israel. \n\nThe Competition is open to pianists of all nationalities.\nApplicants shall be between 18 and 32 years of age\, within the calendar year of the Competition.\n\nThe Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition came in­to being in 1973\, at the initiative of Jan Jacob Bistritzky\, a close friend of Arthur Rubinstein\, who was honored to give his name to the Competition. \nConceived in the spirit of this legend­ary pianist\, the Competition is committed to attaining standards of the highest order and is a valid interna­tional forum for presenting talented\, aspiring young pianists and fostering their artistic careers. \nThe Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition 2023 will be held under the artistic direction of pianist Ariel Cohen\, former director of the Rishon Lezion Israel Symphony Orchestra (Opera Orchestra). \n“This is a new and exciting stage in my relationship with the Rubinstein Competition. A relationship that started when I attended the first competition\, as a piano student\, and continued in the second competition when\, as a young radio correspondent\, I had the privilege of interviewing Arthur Rubinstein.” \n“I served as a board member of the Rubinstein Society for 20 years and as Chairman for the past nine years” says Ariel Cohen\, the Artistic Director of the Rubinstein Society. “I thank Idith Zvi for the many years in which she managed the Competition with dedication.
