SUMMARY:Aeolus Competition for Wind Instruments 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Aeolus Competition for Wind Instruments 2024 is open to young musicians of all nationalities younger than 28 years. Each year three of the Instrument groups are opened for competition: 2024 the competition calls for Bassoon\, Flute and Clarinet. The total prize money is € 60\,000\, the first prize wins € 20\,000. \nThe International Aeolus Competition for Wind Instruments has firmly established itself as a worldwide recognized stage for Flute\, Oboe\, Clarinet\, Bassoon\, Saxophone\, Trumpet\, Horn\, Trombone and Tuba. It takes place once a year in Düsseldorf since 2006. \n  \nOrganiser of the Aeolus International Competition for Wind Instruments is the Sieghardt Rometsch Stiftung. It is the mission of the Sieghardt Rometsch Stiftung to support talented young musicians. \nWhile there is general awareness in our society for the need to foster young scientific talent\, the same is not true for encouraging highly talented young artists. This foundation aims to make a constribution towards redressing the balance between scientific and artistic education. To this end\, the foundation focuses on the discovery and support of musical talent in young people\, so that “Man shall not neglect himself”\, as Schiller demanded in his letters of aesthetic education. For music addresses the soul\, mind and body in equal measure. It promotes intelligence and self-confidence as much as social behaviour. \nThe Competition is at the centre of the foundation’s strategy to encourage the gifted youth. It intends to encourage wind musicians to exceptional achievements\, to create for them a yardstick for performance standards\, and finally to offer them a platform for public performance.

DESCRIPTION:The International Aeolus Competition for Wind Instruments has firmly established itself as a worldwide recognized stage for Flute\, Oboe\, Clarinet\, Bassoon\, Saxophone\, Trumpet\, Horn\, Trombone and Tuba. It takes place once a year in Düsseldorf since 2006. \nAeolus Competition 2023 is open to young musicians of all nationalities younger than 28 years. Each year three of the Instrument groups are opened for competition. \n  \nApplication must be submitted not later than April 30th\, 2023. \nThe Competition has established an online registration process. Please submit your application via muvac: \nhttps://www.muvac.com/en/aeolus-international-competition \n  \nThe prize winners’ concert shall take place with the \nDüsseldorfer Symphoniker \nat 11 a.m. on Sunday\, the 10th of September 2023 \nin the Tonhalle Düsseldorf \nThe prize winners’ concert will be recorded by the radio-station Deutschlandfunk – Media Partner of the Aeolus International Competition for Wind Instruments. \n  \nThe organizer of the Aeolus International Competition for Wind Instruments is the Sieghardt Rometsch Stiftung.
