DESCRIPTION:Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition \n\n\nJune 16-29\, 2024 \n\n\nSalt Lake City\, Utah\, USA \n\n  \n  \n\nEvery few years\, the world’s most promising pianists convene in Salt Lake City for the prestigious Bachauer Artists Competition to compete for fame\, cash\, and prizes. The event returns in June 2024\, marking 48 years of welcoming the world’s most elite pianists to Utah.\n\n\n333 applications were received\, representing over 40 countries. Now 119 pianists have been invited to perform this December and January in the Preliminary Round in one of four international cities: Hamburg\, New York City\, Hong Kong\, and Salt Lake City.\n\n\n36 pianists will continue on to Salt Lake City in June 2024 to compete for more than $106\,000 US in prizes.\n\n\nTwelve will be chosen to perform a new composition by acclaimed composer Gabriela Frank in the Semifinal Round.\n\n\nThree pianists will compete in the Final Round of the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition 2024\, each performing twice with the Utah Symphony in two evenings of concerto performances.\n\n\n\n\nSince 1976\, the Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation has been instrumental to the arts. Each year our educational outreach programs introduce thousands of children to the magic of music. And our prestigious competitions\, festivals\, and concerts help undiscovered talents find new audiences and reach international acclaim. A non-profit foundation based in Salt Lake City\, Utah\, the Bachauer aims to enrich society by continuing to provide opportunities for classical music to be performed everywhere\, and to be enjoyed by all.
