DESCRIPTION:The CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition 2023 is open to all instruments\, voice\, and chamber ensembles. We encourage unique chamber ensemble combinations. \nConcert Artists Guild is committed to supporting musicians who are ready to launch their careers on the national and international stage. CAG seeks exceptional instrumentalists\, ensembles\, and singers who are also thoughtful citizen musicians and have a commitment to connecting their music to the greater world. Artists who share these values are encouraged to apply to the 2023 Victor Elmaleh Competition. \n  \nCompetition age limits as of January 20\, 2023:\nSolo instrumentalists: 28 (born on or after January 21\, 1994)\nSolo singers: 30 (born on or after January 21\, 1992)\nEnsembles must have an average age of no more than 30 as of January 20\, 2023.\nNo member of the ensemble may be over the age of 35 \n\nIf you are over the age limit\, you must upload a statement in the Supplemental Materials section of the application explaining why you are in the early stages of your professional career.\nEnsembles should have been in existence with the same membership since at least January 20\, 2022 (12 months prior to the competition deadline).\n\n  \nCAG Victor Elmaleh Competition 2023 Timeline \n\nNovember 8\, 2022: Applications open\nNovember 29\, 2022 at 12pm ET: Instagram Live: How to Create a Successful Application\, with Chris Williams (CAG Executive Vice President) and Ariel Horowitz (CAG Roster Violinist). Note: the conversation will not be archived.\nDecember 9\, 2022: Earlybird deadline (save $40 on the application fee)\nNB: in order to qualify for the earlybird discount\, your application and fee must be submitted and paid by December 9\nJanuary 20\, 2023: Final deadline\nMarch 10\, 2023: Semifinals materials deadline\nMay 23\, 2023: Live Finals at National Sawdust (Brooklyn\, NY)\n\n
