Stuttgart International Violin Competition

Founded in 2019, the IVS links the Guadagnini foundation with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra and the Stuttgart State Academy of Music and Performing Arts. The first two rounds are in the chamber music hall. The finale will take place in the concert hall and will be accompanied by the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra. All performances are open to the public. All contributions to the International Violin Competition will be streamed online.

The first prize winner will receive 25.000€, plus concert engagements with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Symphoniker Hamburg and the Philharmonie Südwestfalen as well as further recitals.

In addition, the first prize winner will benefit from loan of a 1746 violin by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini.

Second prize is 15.000€, and the third prize 10.000€.
