IAMA International Conference 2021
The 2021 IAMA International Conference will now be held in Copenhagen, Denmark during the month of September.
The International Artist Managers’ Association (IAMA) is the only worldwide association for classical music artist managers and concert agents. The Association was founded as the British Association of Concert Agents in 1954 until January 1996 when, due to its international membership list, it officially changed its status to an international association with membership open to any professional artist management company and to those associated with the classical music world.
Since 1991 there has been an annual international conference now recognised as one of the premiere forums in the classical music world. Representatives from over 30 countries attend with delegates representing artist management companies, presenters, orchestras, opera companies, festivals and venues. To date the conference has been held in London, Amsterdam, Glasgow, Leipzig, Vienna, Genoa, Prague, Stockholm, Berlin, Luxembourg, Paris, Budapest, Utrecht, Helsinki, Montréal, Toronto, Düsseldorf. The 2021 IAMA International Conference will now take place in Copenhagen.
IAMA acts as a lobbying body within member territories as well as facilitating information exchange within its network of members. Part of this includes hosting seminars covering professional legal issues, taxation, management development, new technologies, European issues, media rights, and the recording industry. Seminars have taken place in London, Amsterdam, Bucharest, Paris, Sydney, Copenhagen, Nashville TN, Washington D.C, Los Angeles, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Utrecht, Milan and Shanghai. All members of IAMA have access to an international mediation and arbitration service and disputes can be addressed in almost any country and in almost any language using a recognised legal system.
