Classical:NEXT Conference 2022
From 17-20 May the Classical:NEXT Conference 2022 will welcome its delegates to the heart of Germany, to one of the UNESCO Cities of Music and one of the leading trade fair cities in Europe.
Hannover is a globally renowned trade fair and congress location and since December 2014 also a UNESCO City of Music and therefore part of the international UNESCO Creative Cities Network. This is definitely a promising outlook for a network like the global art music scene that sets itself the goal of working together across borders and remaining in exchange.
As an interesting prospect for 2022 the international and cross-genre festival of modern arts, Kunstfestspiele Herrenhausen, will take place concurrently with Classical:NEXT and will turn Hannover into a global art music hub not to be missed.
The Classical:NEXT Conference is the annual, global networking and exchange hub dedicated exclusively to classical and art music, for all professionals – artists, managers, presenters, orchestras, labels, educators, press, media, publishers and more.
Classical:NEXT consists of an interactive conference, project pitches, showcase concerts, expo, innovation award and networking.
By taking part in Classical:NEXT, you join over 1,000 professionals from more than 45 countries worldwide.
The structure of the Classical:NEXT Conference consists of four sections – showcases, conference, project pitches and expo. The conference section is set up to offer presentations, seminars, discussions, one-to-one and roundtable mentoring and other formats to help delegates with burning issues keep up with changes, trends and innovations. The expo exhibits the work of labels, publishers, agents, festivals, associations and others, and serves as a meeting point for all delegates. Showcases are where artists and productions can be presented in a series of short concerts offering artistic directors, concert bookers, journalists and more a unique opportunity to gain an overview of artistic activity within a short space of time. Project Pitches are targeted, fast-moving opportunities for creators and those on the lookout for new creations. They are a kind of “seek-and-find” for collaboration and inspiration.
